Short stories about horrible things happening to young women, and/or young women doing horrible things to other people out of revenge. Nope.

This is not going to be a short story collection for everybody. It was reminiscent of Angela Carter (and the author acknowledged her in the acknowledgments), but creepier and more disturbing - not necessarily in a good way. The writing was excellent, but the content at times was too much for me, and I almost stopped reading. However, it definitely fit the bill for #screamathon.
This short story was Angela Carter's The Bloody Chamber without the happy ending. I'm using the awesome bookmark @LibrarianJen sent me. It's perfect for the season! #screamathon
I finished this first short story and it was haunting. It featured an ER worker in a dying city wracked by earthquakes. A man who can't be hurt goes around saving people, but he can't save everybody. If the rest of the stories are as creepy and unsettling, this will be a great #screamathon read.
I picked this up from the library display solely for the cover. I used to have a Time Life book about fairies when I was a kid, and I think it featured Goblin Market by Arthur Rackham too. It looks like a good pick for #screamathon. #libraryhaul #indiepress
Checking out this cool indie book. I have mixed feelings but I love the Blue Beard tale. #fairytales. #WhatWeRead
