I may come back to this one day as the writing is interesting, but 90 pages into a 275 page book nothing has happened. I'm bored and restless with the ever shifting POV, which sometimes shifts mid page. And we have land and animal POVs, not just human. Not in the mood to sort through this.
Original and entertaining. A different twist in getting inside the head of otters, dogs and town folk. A first read for me by Davis and want to def read more by her. It helped me get over a huge reading slump as of late. Wish me luck! This site is an inspiration. :-)
This has been on my TBR list for years. Finally going to tackle it. I've heard Davis is a challenging read, wish me luck!!!
I'm pretty sure that Kathryn Davis is a powerful wizard. In The Thin Place she somehow manages to get in the heads of dogs and otters, lichen and glaciers, and churchgoers and thieves. It's one of the most fun, most original books I've ever come across. --Miguel
