The Foxes Come at Night
The Foxes Come at Night | Cees Nooteboom

Set in the cities and islands of the Mediterranean, and linked thematically, the eight stories in The Foxes Come at Night read more like a novel, a meditation on memory, life and death. Their protagonists collect and reconstruct fragments of lives lived intensely, and now lost, crystallized in memory or in the detail of a photograph. And yet the tone of these stories is far from pessimistic: it seems that death is nothing to be afraid of.

Still no idea what the strange noise we heard last night was but I was out this morning to look for a small bathroom trashcan with a lid because some dog won‘t stay out of the trash, and this cup amused me so I bought it! Along with a few other things I didn‘t need, and some other things that I did.

AthenaWins Lol. I got my husband a t-shirt that says the same thing. 6y
CocoReads I‘ve got a for fox sake coffee mug but this one I can take to work. 🤣🤣 6y
