In my region Lower Carniola (Dolenjska) you can rent a vineyard cottage. It is called wines tourism. You can eat eco and bio food produced by a local farmers. And walking through beautiful green nature. Perfect if you want escape from the city. 💚

KathyWheeler That‘s so beautiful. My grandmother was Slovenian but I have never been there. My grandfather was Croatian; we went there once when I was a kid. I‘d love to go to Slovenia. 4y

KathyWheeler @maich I don‘t know. My dad doesn‘t talk much about his parents; I never met them. I‘ll have to ask him. 4y
KathyWheeler @maich I checked with my dad. He wasn‘t sure. All he knew was that it was near the border with Croatia. I think from what he said, that his father‘s family was from around Velika Gorica and she lived across the border from that area. 4y
