pickThis was a scary and depressing book. Every moment, our bodies are at risk of something else we cannot see claiming it as its own, whether in becoming badly disabled, very ill, or dead. I couldn‘t help but think of Mr. Brainworm himself, RFK Jr, while reading this book. Frightening times.
pickI forgot to post this yesterday for #recommendsday but it is one of my favorites! Dr. Nagami is a medical detective and in these essays she relates very interesting medical cases and how she solves them. I found it very empowering because at the end of a long day, she goes home to her kids and makes dinner happen and works on homework. A true superwoman.
