This was a memoir of a young and somewhat naive American who goes off to China to train with Shaolin monks in the early to mid-nineties. This was a lot of fun thanks in large part to the fact that the author is a self-deprecating nerd. The author also wrote a solid biography about Bruce Lee and I look forward to reading his third book in which he trains for an MMA fight!
