Jessica's Guide to Dating on the Dark Side
Jessica's Guide to Dating on the Dark Side | Beth Fantaskey
8 posts | 34 read | 11 to read
The undead can really screw up your senior year . . . Marrying a vampire definitely doesn’t fit into Jessica Packwood’s senior year “get-a-life” plan. But then a bizarre (and incredibly hot) new exchange student named Lucius Vladescu shows up, claiming that Jessica is a Romanian vampire princess by birth—and he’s her long-lost fiancé. Armed with newfound confidence and a copy of Growing Up Undead: A Teen Vampire’s Guide to Dating, Health, and Emotions, Jessica makes a dramatic transition from average American teenager to glam European vampire princess. But when a devious cheerleader sets her sights on Lucius, Jess finds herself fighting to win back her wayward prince, stop a global vampire war—and save Lucius’s soul from eternal destruction

Bailedbailed

It‘s ok to bail when a character makes you so annoyed you want to smack them, right?

I finished another puzzle while I formally decided to abandon JESSICA‘S GUIDE TO DATING ON THE DARK SIDE. It‘s not a terrible book or anything, but I just stuck it out with another audiobook that did less for me than I wanted and I don‘t have a repeat performance in me. Plus, I‘m at a point in my life where I want something a little different from YA vampire fare and I‘ve confirmed this IS headed in the expected direction. #audiopuzzling

goodbyefrancie Cool puzzle! I love to do puzzles while listening to audios. 5y

I listened to about half this book on my walk, and I‘m torn. I like that it‘s a YA vampire novel with a sense of humour, but I think it‘s gonna end up in the expected place instead of reaching for more. Sadness.

My walk took me past my Goodwill store, which caught fire last week after a car smashed into it. The building‘s in better condition than I expected, but I don‘t think they‘ll be able to reopen. Farewell, cheapest used books!

#vampchallenge Day 3 (Hibiscus tea) & 4 (garlic, I usually don't eat red meat, so I don't have a steak!)
