I finished SLAYER while I did some #audiopuzzling! My interest waned throughout the back half and there were areas where I felt it didn‘t hold together well, especially around the climax, but on the whole I enjoyed it. It reminded me how much I love the Buffyverse.
pickBk1 of my #Scareathlon is finished. I‘ve always blown off Nora Roberts thinking she was mostly a romance writer, but after receiving Under Currents in a giveaway, I was pleasantly surprised. This was another good one, a very easy listen & perfect for some #audiopuzzling It has its flaws but overall I very much enjoyed it, the characters are delightful mostly & the killer is nuts. That‘s 3points for #TeamSlaughter

pickI did a lot of #audiopuzzling this weekend! Queenie‘s downward spiral of self-sabotaging and unhealthy decisions rooted in anxiety and trauma reminded me of a dear friend, and I was rooting for Queenie to rediscover her inner strength.
This book also powerfully highlights the many racial micro-aggressions that are often committed by white, liberal men and women, when we are blinded by our own privilege and unaware of our biases. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
