For Day 11 of #jubilantjuly Style I went a different way and chose the style of art in the #hayaomiyazaki #studioghibli film #kikisdeliveryservice. It's one of my favorites and I think of my own little cat as a #jiji

TobeyTheScavengerMonk This is amazing!!! Kiki is my 2 year old son's hero. When we watch it he likes to start at the end, then go back to the beginning. "I want watch Kiki save Tombo." We have the illustrated story book and read it often. (edited) 7y

This book is as stunning as I'd hoped. (I should've expected nothing less from Miyazaki, who is probably my all time favorite human being.) I've always been a little hesitant to do any research on Kiki's Delivery Service: it's my end-all favorite movie and it's very dear to my heart. I was afraid I'd somehow ruin it for myself, but that's not the case. If anything, I admire it and the artists who made even more. This is a breathtaking book.
