I love this series by Faith Hunter. The characters have evolved over the series, something that often doesn't happen in #urbanfantasy. The characters come from a variety of backgrounds - ethnic, religious, financial, historical, and lifestyle. They blend and clash and move ahead as a wonderfully dysfunctional family. Also, the sword fighting and its function also evolves. I can't wait for the next book!

I really like this one.

I have a little #booktheif on my hands. At least he has excellent taste. This may have been my favorite book of the series. It was so action packed, and it wasn't super predictable. I loved it! Now I have no idea what to read next...

I have been sick with an intense spring cold during the last few days, and now Little Man's caught it. Needless to say, today will be spent on the couch, reading and watching movies. Another winning tale of Vampire Politics, New Orleans weather, Magic, Big Cats and blood -- lots and lots of blood. At this point, I'm not sure Hunter can do anything wrong with this series -- and I hope she doesn't prove me wrong anytime soon. Get your orders in now folks so you can dive on it on May 2.
