Dinner with a Perfect Stranger
Dinner with a Perfect Stranger: An Invitation Worth Considering | David Gregory
1 post | 9 read
You are Invited to a Dinner with Jesus of Nazareth The mysterious envelope arrives on Nick Cominskys desk amid a stack of credit card applications and business-related junk mail. Although his seventy-hour workweek has already eaten into his limited family time, Nick cant pass up the opportunity to see what kind of plot his colleagues have hatched. The normally confident, cynical Nick soon finds himself thrown off-balance, drawn into an intriguing conversation with a baffling man who appears to be more than comfortable discussing everything from world religions to the existence of heaven and hell. And this man who calls himself Jesus also seems to know a disturbing amount about Nicks personal life. .. "Youre bored, Nick. You were made for more than this. Youre worried about God stealing your fun, but youve got it backwards. Theres no adventure like being joined to the Creator of the universe." He leaned back off the table. "And your first mission would be to let him guide you out of the mess youre in at work." . As the evening progresses, their conversation touches on life, God, meaning, pain, faith, and doubtand it seems that having Dinner with a Perfect Stranger may change Nicks life forever. Jess7 I love all of the people you invited to this dinner party! If only this dinner party was real! Are you a #GilmoreGirls fan too? 7y
Jess7 Today (9/25) this kindle ebook is only $1.99. If you haven't read it, I recommend it because it was a cute, funny read: 7y
MinDea Hey @Jess7, yes! I am indeed a Gilmore Girls fan! I also loved Parenthood! I have read Everything is Perfect, a while ago though. Have you read Hyperbole and a half or Lets Pretend this never happened? 7y
Jess7 No I haven't read those! @MinDea - just saw your tag to me on this. I don't think all of the tags on here are working bc it didn't notify me. I just happened to scroll down 7y
MinDea @Jess7 I would recommend them. They're pretty funny! Yeah, I have had that happen too, not getting notifications of tags, not sure what's going on...seems like a glitch 7y
