An interesting “look” into the life of Mary Queen of Scots through the eyes of her fictional young court jester. The authors skillfully created a story from what little is known about the people in Queen Mary‘s court in a very credible way. Full of intrigue and suspense. Worth a read.

#WWW / #WonderWomanWednesday : GUYS. Can we talk about my mini obsession with Mary Queen of Scots? Ever since I read THIS book and the Royal Diaries series about her, I've been in love with reading about royalty, Medieval times, and badass women who stood up to men despite society's expectations of women. 🙌 I also love the CW series Reign and am scared to finished Season 3 because of REASONS OKAY 😭😭😭 💔💘 Anyone else love a historical figure?

Wrote my last big paper on her in undergrad but I don't remember reading that novel. Thanks for the rec! 8y

WordWaller @Joriebooks I love her too!!! I read her Royal Diaries also when I was about 9 and have reread it since. I should just buy it 😂 Have you watched the Tudors show? I prefer reading about them too. I just bought the Other Boleyn Girl and am sure I'll love it. Any others you would recommend? 8y

Joriebooks @WordWaller Alison Weir has some good historical fiction about the Tudors and she has one called Captive Queen about Eleanor. I've also enjoyed a book called The Forever Queen. It deals with Queen Emma and events leading up to the Norman Conquest.
