Today, in honor of #WonderWomanWednesday and Asian-American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, we honor Patsy Takemoto Mink. A Japanese American woman born in 1927 in Maui, Hawaii, Patsy would become the first Japanese American female attorney in Hawaii and the first Asian American woman elected to the Hawaii House of Representatives.

This is a crazy time for me! I finally bought a new car, I'm looking for a house, I just registered my son for kindergarten, and I have to prepare for the craziness of the coming summer! So, I haven't been reading a lot other than audiobooks, for which I still need to type reviews.

So happy #wonderwomanwednesday ! I give you Nina Simone! I don't actually know that much about her, but her music is powerful, and I'd like to read this autobiography.

Joanne1 I'm part way through a biography but am really struggling with it. Fascinating women but the book is so boring! 7y

For those who want to read more about the life of our #WonderWomanWednesday, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, you have so many wonderful books to choose from, from the ridiculous to the academic to the young at heart. 👩🏻‍⚖️

Happy birthday, RBG! There hasn't been much in the way of equality she hasn't impacted in the US since she became a Supreme Court justice. Before she was a judge, she was a fierce civil rights lawyer advocating for women's rights. She firmly deserves her reputation for being outspoken & dissenting whenever something does not fit with her legal & moral compass. May she live long & pen many more opinions than dissents! 👩🏻‍⚖️

#Wonderwomanwednesday. Yea for international women's day. I often wonder about all the positive things Marilyn could have done if she overcame her addictions. In today's society I could see her as a body positive role model. But it was the 1960's. Women had only been voting for 40 years and there was still the sociological hold over from the 1950's.

#wonderwomanwednesday. Everyone pretty much knows how I feel about DW. If it weren't for her many of her brothers writings would have come out different. Added bonus I found this at Dollar Tree a few years ago. Since DW is a big figure in her own right I wonder what it would have been like if she and Mary Wollstonecraft started weekly salons together?
