(1969) A transporter experiment results in duplicating Mr. Spock. One of the Spocks is eeeeevill ... but which one? Meanwhile, the Klingons have violated the Organian peace treaty and started a war on the Federation. It's not a great episode, but it is a curious visit to (what are now) the early days of the franchise, when much of the series' Bible hadn't been written yet and it shows. And for that it's fun.

RamsFan1963 Have you ever read Spock Messiah! (the exclamation point is in the title)? I remember reading it when I was around 12 or 13 and finding it confusing because Spock didn't act anything like he did in the TV series. 11mo
swynn I haven't, but want to find a copy. According to Wikipedia it's been called the worst Star Trek novel of all time -- how can I resist? 11mo

Panpan

James Blish wrote about constructivism, nutritional biology, astrophysics and philosophy but forgot on the way that this was supposed to be a SciFi novel, not a scientific paper.

TheBookDream I liked this one quite a bit. But I've read some odd or terrible Star Trek novels, so this one lands strictly in the middle of the pile. 7y
