Something Sure Smells Around Here by Brian P. Clearly, 2015. I knew I was going to enjoy these poems based off the cover! It was super funny and the poems didn‘t disappoint. While reading I learned what a limerick is and that was what the poems were. Each poem was unique and made me laugh. The illustrations complemented the poems which made it more fun to read.

I would use this book in my classroom because it is age-appropriate and hilarious which is good for young children. It is a good book to introduce to poetry and the kids will love it because it is hilarious and about children their own age.

I would for sure use this book in my classroom. If there was some free time, I would read these poems in between two lessons to lighten the atmosphere. The limericks are very quick to the point so this is a very easy read for transitions.
