A solid installment in the Riyria World. I do love these characters, but not necessarily the treatment of the women in this particular volume. 3.5⭐️

Waiting for my next library hold to come in so I might as well tackle the next book on my TBR bookshelf at home. Hadrian & Royce are so entertaining. These books are almost always a quick read. The perfect filler while I wait.

I enjoyed the continuation in the Ryiria Chronicles (prequel stories to Ryiria Revelations). It's not as good as the original trilogy though. This particular book offers a lot of character building and set up for the main events that will take place years later. It was nice to be back in the world but I wanted more from the book. Not more in terms of world building but more of Royce and Hadrian and their banter and jokes.

I read the first chapter and realized I just didn't care. Possibly because it starts from Hilfred's point of view and the whole thing with him and Arista was a source of annoyance and irritation for me.

I have a 5-minute rule when it comes to staging book shots: I have to find everything I need for the shot, take the picture, and post within five minutes; or else default to online covers. This morning was quite the challenge owing to the extreme generosity of @FictionFox ! A diverse and thoughtful #SummerSantaGoesPostal package that I *love*!

THANK YOU, BIANCA! (Can't say it enough; and you'll see me say it again as I take on each book!) 😍

If you like epic fantasy, great characters, good action, a touch of humor, complex plotting -- then you need to pick up my new favorite books. Don't miss the audiobooks. 💗💗💗💗 I will be sad to be caught up, but so happy Sullivan will have a new book this summer.

carys14 I am a sucker for a good audiobook! The fact that it is an epic fantasy is just an added bonus! Not to mention that my audible credits are about to hit the max rollover amount so I need to use a few of them. 8y
BethFishReads @carys14 check out this site and listen in order of publication. https://www.fantasticfiction.com/s/michael-j-sullivan/ you won't be sorry 😊😊😊 8y
carys14 Do you suggest starting with Revelations or jumping straight into Chronicles? 8y
BethFishReads @carys14 I suggest starting with Revelations, but author says you can go either way 8y
