Alexa is trying to make herself a perfect life and it hurt to watch her come to terms with the fact that her fiancé was abusive and how it got bad over time without her really noticing. Maverick was her man until grief drove her away.
so-soTook me til 3 am in the hotel room to finish it (although we didn‘t get back to it til 1:30 but I did it. I liked the book ok, I liked Maverick and the storyline but Alexa drove me up the wall. I tried not to judge because you just never know but she never should have left Mav in the first place. Although then there‘d be no book. WAS. WITH. THAT. OTHER. SHMUCK. Is the reason i can't love this one. "Oh, look. This guy that I actually like can give me all the things I was with that other guy for. Perfect!" aahhAAAAAHhhhh. It had some cute scenes, but I need a hug.

I'm trying so, so hard to like her you guys. I'm trying to understand that people just don't look at their lives and see the problems others see. But it's So. Damn. Hard. How could you fall in love with someone who only tolerates your family? Even if they're crazy. And how can you just ignore someone who is trying to help you? Ugh.

pickThe second book in the raven riders series was amazing. I love the main characters so much and I didn't want the book to end. If you love contemporary romance with sexy bikers this is definitely a series you're looking for. This was my 6th Laura Kaye read and she keeps blowing me away. 🙌🏻❤️❤️❤️
This is a new genre for me. Although there seems to be an awful lot of sex though.
