pickA great introduction to Giordano Bruno, and tells you so much about his core values even as a young man. Don‘t usually enjoy short stories or novellas but really enjoying these. Making me want to read the main series books.

Not much of a mystery, really, more of a look at Bruno's background.
Since Bruno repeatedly swears never to tell anyone what happened, I felt there should be a framing story to justify this 1st person narrative.
pickReady to go back on the shelf! As you‘d expect from a novella, the plot is straightforward; but it‘s a good taster for the other books, with the same eye for historical / political detail. Did the trick of getting me back into good reading habits after a lapse!
Feels like an undersell to call well-researched historical thrillers #cosycrime but when you‘ll happily read about dismemberment over a bowl of cocopops...
