Parts of this book were super interesting, but I started to get bored of it at the end. I love Diane Ackerman's writing style, but it gets to be a little much sometimes.

"We all died last night , as we do every night. Waking is always a resurrection after what might have been death. What would dawn have been like, had you awakened? It would have sung through your bones. All I can do this morning is let it sing through mine." -Diane Ackerman

"The mind contains a million snow globes, shakes this one or that, and watches sand or snow fall in slow motion through the gels of memory" -Diane Ackerman
I absolutely adore Diane Ackerman's writing style ❤️
The best part about finishing a book is getting to start a new one :) #dianeackerman
