Soooo I read this series out of order. How was I supposed to know book 0 was checked out and that I was supposed to start there rather than book 1. So I read them as 1,2,3,0. SMH oh well, what's done is done. Due to my confusion, I knew who sub characters ended up with in later titles. Anyway, Sweet Home Alabama meets Christian Fiction forgiveness with some near death experiences to force reconciliation and declarations of love not lost. Solid 4☆

While this book wasn't for me, I would still recommend Sweetbriar Cottage by Denise Hunter to people who enjoy light romance with slow pacing and a dash of both spirituality and suspense!

Right in my wheelhouse. I am a sucker for Christian romances set in small towns, preferably the South, mixed with a message of redemption. I actually felt the cold when Noah and Josephine were stuck in the elements!

Love this first line!

Laura317 😂😂I remember reading Erma Bombeck saying right before going to sleep, she'd tell her husband that the IRS called for him and said they'd call back, so she could get to sleep before he did. Apparently he snored. A lot. 8y

Denise Hunter's style of writing encourages me to read her novels in one sitting, this one is no different. I escaped from a flare-up of my #CRPS into this world of well-rounded characters and thoroughly enjoyed the storyline and it‘s swift pace. I love the story starting in the midst of a marriage rather than the traditional romance beginning when the couple first interact. [read more on my blog]
