JordanD I like the idea about going outside and finding rocks and then classifying them through observations based on the story so I would utilize EL strategy 41 and UDL strategy 6.3 to have them manage the criteria for each category of rock type and to record all of the information and their hypothesis in their notebooks. 6y
DrSpalding You have heard me say it before but you don't get much better than National Geographic. This is an excellent book to use in your science curriculum and I love the idea of utilizing a notebook to record their scientific observations. 6y

ChristinB I remember using these types of guides in elementary school. They have so much information and are so easy to read. The colors and pictures will definitely capture the attention of young readers 6y
