Not reading as quickly as I want or am used to, mostly because I can't read and knit and it's that period when I feel like knitting ;)

I am posting one book per day from my extensive to-be-read collection. No description and providing no reason for wanting to read it, I just do. Some will be old, some will be new. Don‘t judge me - I have a lot of books. Join the fun if you want.

Probably unpopular opinion: I didn't like it much. It took me 2 months to work my way through it because I started, read another book instead, read a bit further etc. It's not horribly written, but I didn't like the protagonist, and the characters I did like had really small parts. It's a good thing I read the first Murderbot novella of the author before reading this, or I might never have given it a chance.

Pickpick

If you want to read a story where the ‘noble‘ save the world, do not read this book. If you want a brilliant story where the thieves, shunned, sneaky, brave, and misfits race to solve a mystery and fight evil, read this amazing book.

Went with an alternate history pick for today's Set in France theme. Ile-Rien isn't exactly France, but it's not NOT France either. And Martha Wells is one of my favorite underrated authors. #jubilantjuly
