The History of the World in Bite-Sized Chunks
The History of the World in Bite-Sized Chunks | Emma Marriott
2 posts | 1 read | 2 to read
History is a rich, varied and fascinating subject, so it's rare to find the whole lot in one book ... until now. The History of the World in Bite-Sized Chunks pulls it all together, from the world's earliest civilizations in 3500 BC to the founding of the United Nations in 1945, passing by the likes of Charlemagne, the Ottoman Empire and the Crimean War, to name a few. Here's your chance to introduce yourself to the full spectrum of world history, and discover just how the modern world came to be.

Today‘s book purchase while at the bookstore. It was on the bargain table and who couldn‘t use a little history? I laughed when I first saw it because it‘s so small but I‘m curious so it had to come home with me. What finally sold me was the fact that her other book is titled, “ I Used to Know That History and Bad History: How We Got the Past Wrong”.

Enough info in blurbs to whet your appetite & keep studying individual events solo. Book reminded me why I love history so much: when we are dead, the only thing worth remembering is our deeds and names. Sometimes we won't remember your name but your deeds will survive. I want to be remembered for both. #mementomori #amreading #bookworm #bibliophile #bookish #booknerdigans #bookblogger #tsundoku #greatreads #readmorebooks #coolgirlsread
