“This is not a man. In almost a hundred years, I have seen it shot, stabbed, drowned, burned, decapitated, dismembered, and buried. And in almost a hundred years, there’s only one thing that’s ever been able to kill it…Me.” The campaign trail, 2012: A political operative of the incumbent president and a party volunteer are brutally murdered while in a compromising position. A message has been written in their blood… “IT'S GOOD TO BE BACK” A centuries-old horror has returned to taunt Nathaniel Cade, the President's Vampire. Under constant threat of exposure—and with enemies old and new at every turn—he and his handler Zach must stop the one monster Cade has never been able to completely destroy. And they must do it before the creature known as the Boogeyman adds another victim to his long and bloody list: the President of the United States.

I should be writing for #NaNoWriMo but I only had 2 hrs left on this audiobook & I just had to finish it! And wow, what a ride! Fast-paced, action-packed thriller. And that ending! 😳 I really need there to be a book 4.

Twainy I know. I loved these books LOL 3y

I'm selective about my vampire reading because I don't like the new stuff that's popular today, so I was thrilled to find this series. Blood Oath and The President's Vampire were very good, but Christopher Farnsworth really outdid himself with Red, White, and Blood. The first thing out of my mouth when I read the ending was, WHAT?! and I proceeded to scan the internet for signs when book number four will be released.

Zach had heard the president described as the most dangerous narcissist on the planet.

Something you killed didn't stay dead? That must have put some termites in your coffin.

"Some days," Zach thought, "I really hate this job."

Finished off the third (and currently last) book in this series. I liked the previous two slightly better than this one. I honestly had trouble taking the "other side" threat seriously this time. The story itself was interesting, action-packed, etc. as before. Particularly liked the Ulysses S. Grant flashback.

One warning: This book has a doozy of a cliffhanger (or two).
