The reason I gave this book a 3 of out 5 rating is because I didn't enjoy it as much as before. I still love the characters.

The last of the Bob Curran books, at least for now. I stayed up way too late tonight to finish this one, but well worth it. I‘m hoping to find more of his books through the library.

Oooh @Gissy you went above and beyond and I‘m so so thrilled! PERFECT books for me! And all the craft goodies, notepad and pens, hot chocolate, chocolate bark, and black tea. It‘s like you‘ve known me forever!! It‘s all simply delightful and I‘m so happy I waited until I felt well enough! Thank you so much! Now to read all the cards you tucked in… 🥰😍

Gissy Since this was a naughty swap, I chose books from your tbr that seemed to have some kind of suspense 😱Well I read The Possession of Alba Díaz,let‘s see how spooky or suspenseful you find it. And I was intrigued with Slave Thirst so it is in my shopping cart already. That happens in every swap, I check my match‘s book list and I end buying a couple of books from that list🤣I own Ghostwritt but haven‘t read it.Bought some craft goodies for me too😂 24h

We each open a gift on Little Christmas Eve (today), tradition husband brought from Norway. This book is from my husband. One of only 1250 copies from first American edition in 1978, signed by the author and the artist. Husband just rocks!!

I read this for Cult Classics book club, and honestly I might not have finished it otherwise. Set in a Swedish suburb in the 1980s, the story follows Oskar, a relentlessly bullied 12-year-old, and Eli, his mysterious new neighbor who also happens to be a vampire. Vampires I can handle, but Eli's human companion is a pedophile and everything involving that man was stomach-churning, as was Eli's origin story. Apart from that, it was very good.

Their whole family are insomniacs who have to wear a LOT of sunscreen when they go out. Their father goes into anaphylactic shock when a neighbour includes garlic in a Thai salad but Rowan and Clara Radley only find out the truth when Clara is attacked on her way home from a party.

I was expecting this story of ethical vampires trying to pass as human to be funnier than it was, but it was still very enjoyable.

5✨ This story was so cute. I loved their back and forth letters, and the diary sections. 🤣Such a sweet story. Now I‘m hoping there is or will be a werewolf sequel. 🥰

Roary47 @willaful Next series would be fun though if their was a messy guy that sheds a lot, and a girl with allergies. Or vise versa. 🤣 2w
willaful @Roary47 lol!

Oh, if you want a werewolf story, Fan Servie by Rosie Danan was pretty fun.
