pickI think the thing that kills me the most in this series is that people always forget to take Alex at his word and if they would just listen to him they'd stop forcing him to do the exact opposite of what they want from him. This one feels more of a set up for future plotlines but I still enjoyed my time reading about Alex trying to get out of some sticky situations.

My new reading glasses came in so I‘m testing out the new prescription while finishing up some Alex Verus. It‘s nice to not have to see through the teeth marks in the lens that my old pair had. Thanks, Cals.
It‘s after 10 pm but I haven‘t read at all today so I figured I‘d start this one anyways. Hopefully I‘ll be able to stop after a chapter or two instead of going full throttle and messing up my sleep cycle. Sierra is not amused though she is ready to bed down for the night.

My main goal this week is to finish Persepolis Rising and I'm confident that will happen. Then I'll head back into Alex Verus for two installments. I don't want to read more than that in a row for fear of burnout. If all that gets done I'll read the next in the villains series.
pickI finished this and then started it again immediately. #7 is the best of the series since #2. The most geographically encompassing
