My #weeklyforecast for December 21 - 27. A whole lotta classic Christmas cheer, plus some nonfiction emotional management tips from the author of “Chatter.“ Given the holiday season and the general trauma of 2025, perhaps a good book theme combo?
🎄😱 😂
Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la, la, la!

Booksblanketsandahotbeverage The emotion management one sounds intriguing.. let us know if it‘s helpful 😊 2d
do-re-mi @Booksblanketsandahotbeverage I def will let you know if the tips are useful. The intro is really interesting and quite readable, which is what lured me into buying it. Kross also wrote Chatter, which I've read but I don't recall the details of that book very well. (edited) 2d

I will hopefully read these three books during the holidays. Still a lot of #ToB26 to be read but also another installment in the Matilda Darke series, which I have been enjoying a lot.

TrishB Good plans 👍🏻 3d
Chelsea.Poole I just started The Garden. Really enjoying so far! 3d

Only a couple of chapters into the tagged but think it is going to be a great read. Got about halfway through Heartbreaks driving today. I enjoy reading a holiday themed book this time of year especially one with a different culture or religion. This one has some heavy themes but author promised an HAE in her forward. I‘m about 25% into The Passenger Seat. I‘ll read a bit more tonight but it‘s feeling like DNF is a possibility.

ChaoticMissAdventures I really enjoyed Mad Women's Ball. It is always scary to think about that time and how any woman could be locked away by any man because they were inconvenient. 1w
Deblovestoread @ChaoticMissAdventures I chose for #BookedinTime based on your recommendation. I find it terrifying especially since I think the Christian Nationalist movement would institute this is a heartbeat. 1w

#WeeklyForecast 50/25

#ToB26 fever! I am reading and enjoying the longlisted Waterline. Lined up are The Sitter (a gift by @CarolynM ), that looks so appealing, and the tagged book, that is shortlisted for the Tournament.

squirrelbrain It‘s odd how you can get so many ToB books much more easily. The Ten Year Affair comes out in January here, and Waterline is on Amazon but delivered from the US. 🤷‍♀️ 1w
TheKidUpstairs The Sitter is so good, I hope you love it! 1w
BarbaraBB @squirrelbrain It really is. They‘re not expensive either. It‘s a Dutch/German online store where I always order them. 1w
BarbaraBB @TheKidUpstairs I‘ve heard such good things and have high hopes! 1w
sarahbarnes Great books this week! I voted on Waterline for camp and definitely want to read it. As well as The Sitter! 1w
