This has become an automatic end of year gift to my children's teachers. This goes out to all the teachers that make our kids' days easier even if the kids don't always seem appreciative! I can't get through this one without crying!

This is a tearjerker at the end of the year. It‘s a heartwarming picture book about a young woman who writes a letter to her second-grade teacher—as she is about to become a teacher herself. In the letter, she thanks her teacher, recounts her teacher‘s patience and understanding and seeming all-knowingness & more. Love this book about great teachers and how they teach & inspire young people and, in doing so, leave a lasting impression.
A student gave me this today and I cried. How could I not?! Shout out to all the litsy teachers AND mothers this week. We all need some love and appreciation!
Holy puddle of tears. 😭😭😭
A heartwarming (RF) story by Deborah Hopkinson and illustrated by Nancy Carpenter. A story about an “exasperating” little girl who grew up to write a letter to her teacher about how she remembered all the ways that she tested the patience of her 2nd grade teacher. On her first day of her new job, she will think about her favorite second grade teacher because she became a teacher too! #UCFLAE3414SP18
SUCH a sweet little book! Any teacher who has had a difficult but ultimately rewarding student will be able to connect with this! And so will anyone who has ever been that student 😜.
