As a teacher, you have SO MANY days that make you wonder why you chose this profession in the first place. Dealing with the unreasonable expectations of admin, disrespectful and/or apathetic students, demanding parents, and the crushing loads of grading and planning wear your spirit down. Then a kid tells you that you‘re her favorite teacher and invites you to her softball game as her special guest—and you remember why you do it.
