This poem “Emily's Undies“ is about a little girl who is now wearing underwear instead of diapers because she is potty trained and not a baby anymore. I believe that this is a true poem because it relates to the child and it naturally rhymes the words.

I would implement this book into my classroom. I think it would be very appropriate for children learning to potty train. I would read this to my female students when they are getting ready to potty train and start in pull ups.

I would use this book in my classroom of elementary students pre-kindergarten and up. This book has short poems for the children's short attention spans, and uses rhyming words to keep their attention. It teaches them something about clothing (how to tie a shoe) or why it is fun to put your pajamas on and go to sleep...

This is a children's poetry book. This book includes multiple different poems about animals and something they are either wearing or like to do. One is about an otter and his shoelaces. One is about a pig who likes to jump in the mud. One is about a dog riding a bike and wearing his helmet. One is about an alligator wearing pajamas and going to bed. All these mini poems inside this book teach children something positive. It uses rhyming words.

I enjoyed the use of personification and how the shoelaces were given a voice here!

Published in 2009 and illustrated by Petra Mathers, this wrinkled rhymes poetry book includes sing song like poems in which all refer to different types of clothing. It is relatable for young children who are starting to dress for themselves and makes getting dressed sort of fun if you use these poems to do so!!

It‘s a poem about a sweater that rick wears and the poem describes the sweater and what it‘s like wearing it.

The language is so fun and talks about familiar things that children would be interested in. The characters are just like children in real life. The poems are quick and fun.

This P book showcases an adorable and humorous collection of poems all centered around different items of clothing. I'm sure it would be fun to read aloud with students and it's also great for teaching about point of view and voice. A worksheet that helps teach about voice can be found here: https://www.teachervision.com/viewpdf/Mzk4ODAtZmllbGRfcHJpbnRhYmxlX2ZpbGU%3D #UCFLAE3414su17
