The entire town of Cranberry Cove is popping with excitement. Monica Albertson is baking cranberry goodies by the dozen and shopkeepers are decking out their storefronts for the first annual Winter Walk - an event dreamed up by the mayor to bring visitors to the town during a normally dead time of year. But it's the mayor who turns up dead during the grand opening ceremony, his lifeless body making its entrance in a horse-drawn sleigh. Monica's mother and stepmother quickly become the prime suspects when it's discovered that the mayor was dating both of them, and to make things worse, her half brother Jeff uncovers a clue buried near one of the bogs on Sassamanash Farm. Now it's up to Monica to find out who really put the mayor on ice. Includes Cranberry Recipes Praise for Berried Secrets 'A fun whodunnit with quirky characters and a satisfying mystery. This new series is as sweet and sharp as the heroine's cranberry salsa.' On a dark and stormy night, there's nothing better than cuddling up with a cozy and a nice cup of tea. They drink a lot of tea in this series so I was inspired. Another good mystery by Peg Cochran. Really didn't know who did it until the end. A nice cozy to wrap up my summer of cozies. #cozymystery #ilovecozies

Nat_Reads Ok-I've never read a cozy and am unfamiliar with the genre. Could you explain it me a little so I can guess if I would enjoy them? 7y
Erika13137 @Nat_Reads Cozies are light mysteries usually found in the mass market paper bound sections. They're usually a series, take place in small towns and the main characters (MC) usually have their own businesses (bakery, flowershop, etc.) and they'll come across a murder of some sort. Then the MC will get involved with figuring out "who done it" with the local law enforcement, occasionally falling in love with said law enforcement. 7y
Erika13137 @Nat_Reads They're real easy reads. Some are really funny, a lot of food themed books will have recipes and they're just overall relaxing. (edited) 7y
Nat_Reads Thank you! I think I'll try one out! 7y
Erika13137 @Nat_Reads Enjoy! Some of my fav cozy authors are Kate Collins, Julie Buckley, Ellie Alexander and Bailey Caites. 7y

🎶With her nose stuck in a book...🎶 Thinking this will be my last cozy of the summer then it's back to some different genres. Looking forward to getting through some of my TBR pile. #dogsoflitsy #cozymystery #ilovecozies
