This was a tough book to read, and one that will probably stick with me for a while. It kept me interested and I managed to get through it in about 3 days.

One of the toughest and grittiest reads that will stick with you forever. This story captures true life drug addiction and what the road to hell really looks like. It begins with a normal couple that one day decide to try heroine. The rest goes down hill fast into a gruesome depiction of one couples complete derailment.

Bostonmomx2 They really just one day said let‘s try heroin? Who does that 😕 6y
Whimsical.Curiosity @Bostonmomx2 my most adventurous ideas are about spicy food lol 6y
Bostonmomx2 @Whimsical.Curiosity lol right?? I have to assume they were already partiers and using other substances. I can‘t imagine sitting here on a Tuesday night...hey honey what do you want to do this weekend? How about heroin? Sure, sounds fun! 🤦‍♀️ 6y

Soubhiville That‘s crazy. I can‘t understand how anyone chooses to take that road. I know there‘s an opioid crisis and that pain meds lead to addiction sometimes, but I can‘t imagine just deciding to try heroin for fun. Nope. 6y
Whimsical.Curiosity @Bostonmomx2 @Soubhiville it's like "hey, what toppings you want on your pizza?" And someone replying "pepperoni and heroin" 6y
Bostonmomx2 @Soubhiville I actually have a cousin who took that exact path. Of course dig deep and you‘ll find a host of crap in her childhood that easily explains it BUT she also makes her own choices...drugs, homelessness, repeated childbirth 😡. She always refuses help and blames others for her problems. It‘s sick. 6y
Soubhiville @Bostonmomx2 my youngest step sister has addiction issues too. For her mental illness plays a part, and she progressed from lighter to harder drugs. My 65 year old dad and my stepmom are raising her son, who is 2. She refuses help and rehab, and doesn‘t seem to want help either. It‘s sad. Drugs are scary. 6y
Bostonmomx2 @Soubhiville that‘s really sad 😕 6y
Whimsical.Curiosity @Soubhiville aaww that's such a sad situation! My mother, at 45, randomly decided to try crack. Lost everything and almost her life. Crazy the different ways people get into them 6y
Soubhiville @Bostonmomx2 @Whimsical.Curiosity it is crazy. I bet most people know someone going through something similar these days. 6y
Whimsical.Curiosity @Soubhiville agreed, just crazy. 6y
