Yaaaassssssss!!

Having a newborn has made getting anything done practically impossible and with the recent discovery of reflux I've given up on anything other than survival and snuggles. In the wee hours of the night while I hold her up for 30 minutes after every nurse, I manage to get in a tiny bit of one handed entertainment. Thank goodness for the libby app and my local libraries.

This book is enthralling. I absolutely love a fantastical story and this one brings your imagination to life. It awakens a childlike wonder and stirs a comradery in you like no other. Go Zel go! I cant wait to see how it ends. And I really hope they do it justice in the movie.

Easily my favorite read of the year. An intricate telling of the inner workings of a diamond platinum band coming up in the seventies.
And it's going to be made into a TV series!

Such a wonderful read. I absolutely love the writing style, the little chapter excerpts about history and side stories and that there's a movie! I already completely agree with the casting choices. Such a heart warming, logic versus whimsy story.

Five dinos for this one. Solidly written plot. So many twists you dont see coming. A very relatable main character. I did several double takes as the story unfolded. One of the twists actually had me reaching out to friends who've read the book so I could be like UM I HAVE QUESTIONS. I would definitely recommend!

Reading her birth plan while also being 33 weeks pregnant made my night! I really should've read this before formulating my own. It's hysterical.

Netflix has a special out called Historical Roasts and it's actually really funny and well done. Having read Anne Frank and visited her home in Amsterdam I couldn't pass this up. I was nervous but Gilbert Godfrey as Hitler was hysterical along with everyone roasting him.

It's been a loooooooong time since a book made me cry. And for that I recommend it. If I can be emotionally compromised by an authors words then they deserve a solid review! It's a bit predictable but worth the read. There are some twists that you won't see coming that add suspense and mystery. The end will rip your heart out. 😭 #charrot

Started this one last night and I'm halfway through! I bought it so long ago that I had no idea what I was getting into but so far so good. A little predictable but everybody's got a secret and the writer has you wanting to know them all!

Although Koontz can get carried away with descriptions, I can definitely confirm that this book lived up to the title. I doubt it could've been achieved with anything less than what Koontz described so I won't hold it against him. I do wish there had been more to Vess but overall a good book.

Picked this little gem up while on a trip to Chicago. I love finding tiny little cozy bookstores in other cities. Finally getting around to reading it! 6 chapters in and I am invested. I have so many questions and I can't wait to uncover the answers. I've heard so many positive thoughts on this book.

This book was the worst. Maybe I'm hormonal and pregnant but that makes me the target audience right? Soooooo judgy at a time in a woman's life when the last thing she needs is judgement. Not a book I will pass on.

Amazon's Lord of The Rings series is slowly making progress!! I'm secretly hoping to meet Bombadil 💕

These are a few of my favorite things 💕

So far I'm at least intrigued by this book. The writing style is a bit fun but hard to follow. It's definitely overly descriptive like Cormac McCarthy which I struggle with. Just tell me the dang house is blue. However the subject matter keeps you hooked.

Tom Bombadil is my favorite merry old soul with no cares and full of Whimsy. He was also the most powerful character in all of Tolkiens worlds. I feel like he would've been a natural in Wonderland.

This is a novel that is so far fetched that it can be very hard to believe and follow. That said, you really connect with some of the characters like Oly and Chick. Or at least worry for them. It's hard to really describe but if you take the Isle of Misfit toys and give them a manipulative leader and a reality TV show then you're almost there.
