The Lemon Tree Café | Cathy Bramley

The Lemon Tree Cafe was originally published as a four-part serial. This is the complete story in one package. When Rosie Featherstone finds herself unexpectedly jobless, the offer to help her beloved Italian grandmother out at the Lemon Tree Cafe - a little slice of Italy nestled in the rolling hills of Derbyshire - feels like the perfect way to keep busy. Surrounded by the rich scent of espresso, delicious biscotti and juicy village gossip, Rosie soon finds herself falling for her new way of life. But she is haunted by a terrible secret, one that even the appearance of a handsome new face can't quite help her move on from. Then disaster looms and the cafe's fortunes are threatened . . . and Rosie discovers that her nonna has been hiding a dark past of her own. With surprises, betrayal and more than one secret brewing, can she find a way to save the Lemon Tree Cafe and help both herself and Nonna achieve the happy endings they deserve? Thank you to @kaysworld1 for my #FunInTheSunBookExchange gifts.

Sorry for not posting yesterday but I've been suffering with a two day migraine and haven't been able to do much at all.

Mehso-so

Overall I enjoyed this book but I did have a bit of a niggle with how one of the story lines was resolved. It didn't really sit well with me. In general though the characters were good and I'd definitely like to go to the cafe for pizza sometime! :-)

Enjoying a quick coffee and croissant before the train with this light and fun read on the side. Only half way through but enjoying it so far. It's easy to read, the village and the cafe sound amazing and on dreary, rainy days it's a lovely wee pick me up.

'Sometimes you have to revisit the past to truly move forwards'

Picked this up in Sainsbury's today. Slightly different from my crime thrillers. Sometimes it's refreshing to indulge in a girly chick-flick and loose yourself to romance, cupcakes and family secrets!
I will update with a post soon!
