1,000 Places to See in the United States and Canada Before You Die (Third Edition, Revised)
1,000 Places to See in the United States and Canada Before You Die (Third Edition, Revised) | Patricia Schultz
5 posts | 5 read | 3 to read
Covering the U.S.A. and Canada like never before, and for the first time with full-color photographs, here are 1,000 compelling, essential, offbeat, utterly unforgettable places. Pristine beaches and national parks, world-class museums and the Just for Laughs festival, mountain resorts, salmon-rich rivers, scenic byways, the Oyster Bar and the country's best taco, lush gardens and coastal treks at Point Reyes, rafting the Upper Gauley (if you dare). Plus resorts, vineyards, hot springs, classic ballparks, the Talladega Speedway, and more. Includes new attractions, like Miami's Perez Art Museum and Manhattan's High Line, plus more than 150 places of special interest to families. And, for every entry, what you need to know about how and when to visit. "Patricia Schultz unearths the hidden gems in our North American backyard. Don't even think about packing your bag and sightseeing without it." --New York Daily News

This is, hands down, my favorite USA roadtrip book. It's organized by region and by state. It hasn't been updated for a while, so the prices listed aren't up to date, but it's still am awesome road trip reference.

For two months, the USPO has been on the money with my Book of the Month shipment by going from PA to NY to my home. Apparently, the USPO has been drinking again. Hanover, PA is 4hrs from my house traveling East. Why is my box headed West 9 hours away?

Reviewsbylola I swear, the third party shipping partners make no sense. It took me an entire week to get my boxes last month. Hoping that this month is quicker! 7y
bookishkai My tracking still hasn't been transferred to the USPS. It's been sitting in PA since Monday. 7y
CoffeeBooksRepeat I've had the same problem with my BOTM package!!! Heads more west than it should. 7y
NerdyRev It still is sitting in West Virginia and has been now for two days. Odd. 7y
