This book is action packed with a fast-paced story and decently developed characters. Like other people, it was the sappy ending that made this a so-so book for me. The ride was enjoyable, but the ending was definitely rushed. Great if you need an action story with a feel-good ending. Since I needed a book with a fluffy ending, this read came at a good time.

40 pages in and liking this book a lot so far. It's super easy to read, and I think I needed that change of pace since I've been doing some NF and heavy horror for a bit.

Burning Midnight is a fast reading YA novel that's great for Pokémon lovers or anyone who loves to collect things. Mysterious spheres have appeared on Earth, hidden in various places. If you find 2 of the same color you can "burn" or ingest their powers into your mind. Some colors are bountiful, others more rare. Sully & Hunter are two kids obsessed with hunting down the rare spheres in Yonkers. Good solid fun!

I would have given this book a "pick" rating but the ending totally ruined it for me! So disappointed!

I've heard mixed reviews on this one, but I'm about 60 pages in and I'm intrigued so far!

BURNING MIDNIGHT was fun an easy to read but it was so bummed with the ending! Loved the concept but the finale ended up being a bit too cheese-tactic for me.
