I didn't really enjoy this graphic novel. It jumped around a lot. The illustration were good, but I just didn't enjoy the way the story plot went all over the place. I rated this book a 3 out of 5 stars.

DC Comics aren‘t my thing despite my undying love for Batman. #marvelgirl However, this little gem from #lootcrate is well written and wonderfully illustrated in B&W. A young boy travels from Japan searching for his parents who were presumed dead after an explosion. The marrying of Japanese comics with DC icons is pretty cool.

It was okay. I'm trying a thing but I'm overthinking it. I didn't need to read this but it had some interesting twists.

God, Morrison's superhero work has been tarnished with some awful art. The start of his legendary BATMAN run is an ambitious attempt to reconcile 70 years of comics in a single character, and it's nearly undone by Tony Daniel. Thankfully, there's a great 3-part story with JH Williams to help sell it

ArznersFishingRod Tony Daniels is still so much better than Igor Kordey was during Morrison's X-Men run. 8y
Mentallofilth @ArznersFishingRod Agreed. Better than Howard Porter's early JLA stuff too. But Morrison's superhero stuff overall has had a lot of unfortunate art. 8y
ArznersFishingRod I feel too much like a hipster when I say Animal Man and Doom Patrol are still my favorites. But that's the case 8y
Mentallofilth @ArznersFishingRod Oh, absolutely agreed. I'm re-visiting this stuff after reading Glenn Weldon's book on Batman's history. But yeah, AM/DP/Flex are tops for me. 8y
