Pickpick

The Plant is a serialized novel written in an epistolary format between the years 1981 and 2000. Regrettably, it remains unfinished. This story tells of a demonic plant that grants a struggling publishing company strange boons. It also absolutely knocked my socks off, perhaps in part due to my lowered expectations. Regardless, it will likely be lauded as one of King's many great works if he ever chooses to finish it, which I hope he will. 5/5

Z is for The Plant Book One: Zenith Rising. A novel originally started in the 80s, never finished and was only given to friends. An ebook was eventually published in 2000 by King, still unfinished. It can be found as a free download on StephenKing.com

GarthRanzz Aargh! This is my post too! Too late for a rewrite. 😊 I‘ve actually had this one ready since the beginning. Have you read the six available chapters? I remember King doing a “pay what you want” for each chapter but hated not getting an ending. 7y
BookwormAHN I've read them. They are rather nuts and I think he's given up on payments and an ending 😸 7y
GarthRanzz I honestly think this will never be finished. Not even sure why he took an unfinished, obscure story to try his hand at releasing straight to the public. Now had he done it with The Green Mile he may have changed publishing a little like iTunes did the music industry. 7y
