Celebrate @Librarybelle 40th year!

“I wanted to do something fun and decided to commemorate the year by reading a book published in each year from 1982-2022. I‘m calling it #19822022 . I‘ve wanted to do similar challenges that encompass 100 years worth of books, but this will be a perfect smaller challenge that I can do along with other challenges.

Feel free to join me if you would like! I don‘t have a signup form, so this is very low key.“

Librarybelle Thanks for reposting! 3y

Challenge accepted. Yes I know these things are just daft marketing exercises but I like a challenge. And I've already read High Fidelity so only 19 to go before I turn 40 which is AGES away. (OK it's 10 months today and one of the books is Ulysses and I'm also doing the @bookriot #ReadHarder challenge. I still reckon I can.) https://www.penguin.co.uk/articles/2020/may/20-books-to-read-by-40.html

umbrellagirl I just turned 42 so I guess there is no hope for me. 🤣 5y
Ruthiella I love theses kinds of lists...at all ages! 😀 5y

@dariazeoli Happiest decade to you! This is the Time magazine cover I mentioned in my card to you. 🎂🍷🍺🍸 #jb Note to others: I was depressed about turning 40; the week of my birthday this Time magazine came in my mailbox and lifted my spirits.

Kaye Turning 30 was worse for me. I think when you‘re still in your 20s, you sound like a young person, but 30s sounds like , you should be established , married, kids, house payment, decent car. Just MY feelings. I‘m not saying anyone else should do those things by 30. 6y
Betty @kaye actually turning 35 was the worst. Years later when I talked to my younger cousins, THEY said 35 was a hard year for them too. Did you ever watch the old tv series Thirty-something ? (edited) 6y
Kaye @Betty No I never watched that show. I haven‘t watched to in years. I‘m a bit out of the loop. 6y
dariazeoli I think I‘m the among the last of the Gen Xers to turn 40. I loved the note in your card, Betty! Thank you. I‘m feeling ok, I think. I certainly don‘t feel 40 (however that‘s supposed to feel). 6y
Tamra 40s are awesome! 6y
