How To Stop Brexit (And Make Britain Great Again)
How To Stop Brexit (And Make Britain Great Again) | Nick Clegg
2 posts | 2 read | 4 to read
Keep calm but do not carry on. There is nothing remotely inevitable about Brexit except that it will be deeply damaging if it happens. Extricating Britain from Europe will be the greatest challenge this country has faced since the Second World War. And as negotiations with the EU expose the promises of the Brexit campaign to have been hollow, even some Brexit-voters now wish to exercise their democratic right to change their mind, seeing that the most pragmatic option is to ... stop. It would certainly be the best thing for Britain. But how can it be done? Havent the people spoken? No. In this indispensable handbook, Nick Clegg categorically debunks the various myths that have been used to force Brexit on Britain, not by the people but by a small, extremely rich, self-serving elite, and explains precisely how this historic mistake can be reversed and what you can do to make sure that it is.

Has the Brexit ship already sailed? Some of us still hope not. This book outlines how the original vote was made under a cloud of misinformation. Remember that 6e8 million a week that was going to go to the National Health Service if we left the EU?

The main argument of the book is that there‘s still time. With a vote in Parliament this Autumn, MPs can still affect how Brexit goes forward. Read this if you wish to influence their vote.

RaimeyGallant I wish I could vote! 6y

Libby1 I wish I could, too, @RaimeyGallant ! I‘ve lived in the UK for many years but am not yet a citizen. We hope to change that this year. 6y

Libby1 I know, @Weaponxgirl . I found this at my local library. It was a quick read and gave some good tips for influencing your MP. 6y

Libby1 @RaimeyGallant - I wish I could vote, too! I read this to inform and encourage me a bit more on the topic. Thankfully, my husband is on the same page as I am and voted Remain while the rest of his family voted for Brexit. 😳🤯 Painful. 6y
Libby1 It would be great if it could change, wouldn‘t it, @DeborahSmall and @CarolynM ? 6y
