This is a great series! If you like Scottish police procedurals you‘ll really like this series. Newly appointed DCI Ava Turner finds that promotion isn‘t all it‘s cracked up to be. The motive for the killer in this story is very different from any I‘ve come across in other stories. DI Callanach‘s mother turns up out of the blue after ignoring Luc‘s calls, emails, etc., and he is not best pleased to see her. #SeriesLove2023 @Andrew65 @TheSpineView

“Unknown to DI Luc Callanach and the newly promoted DCI Ava Turner, a serial killer has Edinburgh firmly in his grip. The killer is taking his victims in the coldest, most calculating way possible – engineering slow and painful deaths by poison, with his victims entirely unaware of the drugs flooding their bloodstream until it‘s too late.”

Third in the series and I am so hooked in by these characters. I have loved all three books and can‘t wait to read the next. If you like a thriller/police procedural series I urge you to try this one!
