Kissed a Sad Goodbye
Kissed a Sad Goodbye | Deborah Crombie
6 posts | 6 read | 6 to read
Scotland Yard's Duncan Kincaid and Gemma James face their most haunting case yet when the past devastatingly intersects with the present.... The call from Scotland Yard couldn't have come at a worse time for Detective Superintendent Duncan Kincaid. He has promised the weekend to Kit, the eleven-year-old son of his ex-wife. The son he never knew he fathered -- who doesn't yet know Kincaid's true identity. But Duncan's best intentions are shattered by an investigation that draws him in and swiftly consumes him. It seems to begin with the discovery of the body of a beautiful young woman in an East London park. But Kincaid and Sergeant Gemma James will discover that this case has long roots that reach far back into the past, and that resentments which should have been decades buried still have the power to hurt -- and maybe even the capacity to kill.

Still loving Superintendent Duncan & Sergent Gemma.

Reading it with homemade peach cobbler & ice cream is even better!

Mixed feeling!! I‘m so happy because I joined this year #CBBC group but so sad because is over😩Just like you @MommyOfTwo I didn‘t realize on time that this would be our last round😱I wanted to give you a better box @Avanders that will come later. It was so fun to be your partner and I loved all the coffee brands sent by @MommyOfTwo and those beautiful items😍Thank you so much🥰 I hope this magnificent club continue for next year🤗⬇️

Gissy That coffee taste so good @MommyOfTwo 😋 ☕️ The package arrived Thursday and I picked it up yesterday but I wanted to taste the coffee first before the post. Delicious! As you know, I love those stickers and stamps to use them in my different journals👌Those were pleasure months...by receiving your packages🥰and reading amazing cozy mysteries. Now I have so many new wonderful series in my tbr after I read the first book during #CBBC ☺️See you soon 1y

The day can‘t decide if it‘s going to rain, snow, or shine so I‘m opting for some audio crafting with Deborah Crombie and Santa. #BritishMystery #audiocrafting #GettingReadyForTheHolidays #MakingGifts

This is the 6th Duncan Kincaid/Gemma James mystery and they have gotten progressively better. This book was excellently well written and weaves the past and present into a intricate murder mystery, whose ending I did not see coming. The descriptions of East London and the docks really bring the area to life. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
