pickThis was a reread for me. I was surprised at how much I didn‘t remember, but I greatly enjoyed getting reacquainted with this book. It links Celtic mythology with Greek and Roman mythology in a way that we know now is inaccurate, but the stories embedded within this book is enough to pique interest in the original stories.

This is probably the one thing I remember about this book from my previous read. It stood out when I read it last time and I stood out again this time. This concept has helped me in every other book I‘ve read about Irish history. There is a mythology to all of it, even the stuff that happened just a generation ago, or in the 1990s.

No one is awake yet so it's time for book one of 2018. This #pop18 selection is a book tied to my heritage. While my family is mainly German, I'm also Scottish, Irish, and a few other things. Celtic lore has always amazed me.
