THE NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLING SERIES AND INSPIRATION FOR THE CRITICALLY ACCLAIMED AMC TELEVISION DRAMA "An essential read for any fan of The Walking Dead" Examiner.com The Walking Dead series of original novels, set in the universe of Robert Kirkman's iconic comic, reaches its crescendo in The Fall of the Governor, Part Two. From coauthors Robert Kirkman, creator of the Eisner Award-winning comic book and executive producer of AMC's blockbuster TV series, and Jay Bonansinga, Stoker Award finalist and internationally acclaimed author, comes the gripping fourth volume in this richly woven, page-turning saga. In Rise of the Governor, über-villain Philip Blake journeyed from his humble beginnings directly into the dark heart of the zombie apocalypse, and became the self-proclaimed leader of a small town called Woodbury. In Book Two, The Road to Woodbury, an innocent traveler named Lilly Caul wound up in the terrifying thrall of Phillip Blake's twisted, violent dictatorship within Woodbury's ever-tightening barricades. In The Fall of the Governor,Part One, classic characters from both the comic and television series, including Rick, Michonne, and Glenn, finally made their appearance in the Walking Dead novel series, only to discover that the Governor is a very dangerous enemy. Now, after a pulse-pounding series of events, the Governor and Rick face off one last time, and only one of them will be left standing. . .

Eight more episodes of TWD added for #scarathlon.

I'd forgotten how much Rick disliked Michonne in the beginning.

Violetsunrise84 The one thing I will say is that Rick was still grieving. He wasn‘t thinking clearly at all. 😔😔 4y
Traci1 @Violetsunrise84 that's true. He was seeing and getting phone calls from dead people, so we can't really expect rational thought, I guess. 4y
Violetsunrise84 @Traci1 So true! That‘s the only reason why I forgave him. 4y

Pickpick

One of the most satisfying endings I've ever read.

As the fight between Rick and his group and the Woodbury militia comes to a brutal end, tough decisions must be made and people must choose sides. Some choices were surprising, which made this book more exciting.

If you liked the show or the graphic novels, the books are worth reading.
