The first book really sets up the horrors that the Fear Family commit and the Goode‘s revenge while gruesome and violent does make sense and seems almost justified. This book moves the story forward past the initial generations and the Fear family seem more like tragic victims of things rather than perpetrators.

As strong and interesting as book 1.

A lot happens in this one. We get through 5 generations of the curse with a 100 year break from the horror. On to the last book in this trilogy, The Burning. The story will pick up again with a bunch of books starting with A New Fear.

Stine does it again! Another fantastic entry in The Fear Street saga, though not quite as good as the first in my opinion. Still satisfying creepy! #teamstoker @TheReadingMermaid

This one wasn't as good as the first one but I enjoyed following along with the next generations of the Fiers versus the Goodes. My biggest pet peeve with the books is that every teenager seems to fall in love with the first new stranger they see and are ready to marry them. One of them met the mysterious stranger and was already debating marriage in her head by the next day. It's such a similar story everytime with just a few small twists.
