Read this series many years ago and loved it. Recently stumbled upon them on hoopla and I choose the audio form.. Absolutely Wonderful, better than the first time because I have mature and been thru some things now. I can relate to it more. 5 stars 🌟

The 2nd book in The Mark of the Lion series is phenomenal. I've read this series a few times, and will probably read this series again in the future. Brilliant writing.

I‘d been looking forward to reading this for a while because it is the second in the Mark of the Lion series and A Voice in the Wind had ended in a way that had hadn‘t expected. An Echo in the Darkness started the same way - not what I thought would happen at all! Coming to the end I was glad that the series had three books so the story didn‘t have to end just yet. But I will be very sad when it is all over.

Surprised to find such a timely quote here. Sad to see this fictional mindset during the Roman Empire carried through to current events but enjoying my revisit to the Mark of the Lion trilogy!

SaraFair I tried the first of these and couldn't handle all the death and sadness. Gave it to my mother in law and she loves it! I really wanted to find some historical Christian novels, any ideas? 8y
ElyssaReads I haven't really read a lot of Christian historical fiction beyond this trilogy so not sure if I'll be a lot of help there, sorry! The same author, Francine Rivers, also wrote Redeeming Love which is set in America in the gold-rush era. Let me know if you find some good ones! 8y
ElyssaReads I almost forgot! She also wrote a series of shorter novels based on women in the Bible that may be worth checking into! 8y
