A solid 4 ⭐️ IMO. Bascomb keeps the reader engaged with novel-like pacing and structure. I love history, and I‘m seeing more and more historians embrace this ethos. They are seeing the value in good storytelling, not just in-depth research.

Bite-sized WWII nonfiction about the capture of one of Germany‘s most infamous SS officer, Adolf Eichmann, in Argentina.
A short compelling read about how one of the world‘s worst criminals was captured and brought to justice from Argentina. #foodandlit
The Holocaust of WWII is one of the darkest chapters in human history. This book describes the search for Adolf Eichmann - one of the architects of the Holocaust who disappeared after the war - and his eventual trial that brought to the light more horrors of the Holocaust. It's so important that humanity remember this dark time so we never, ever allow such evil again. These stories are difficult to read but have lessons we shouldn't forget.
I was excited to read a ya nonfiction book about this topic and had high hopes, but it read a little like a textbook to me. I just never got into it.
Kinda disappointed in the book. It just felt long and overwritten for a story that could have been really intriguing.
This book was great. I love learning about WWII and this book was well written, and well researched.
