Help! I need book suggestions for my 8 year old boy. This is his current read. He‘s read all the Dog Man books, Diary of a Wimpy Kid and Captain Underpants. He said that books with lots of small words on the page (and no pictures) overwhelm him. What books do you kiddos love?

The layers in this were surprising! Gizmo is an "evil genius" for I guess guinea pig standards. He's got a bloated ego and I kinda loved him and his lists. Wedgie's voice in my head sounded like Doug from Up and have I mentioned I love corgis? My favorite part is pictured (Jasmine, mom, & dad talking, plus the picture on the next page). So sweet! ?
