Since it‘s Valentine‘s Day and all... 💝💘💖
I‘m so excited! This is my 9 year olds first chapter book for school!! I‘ve been waiting all school year for this, so we can sit and read it together.
Just finished this on audiobook. It was a cute, quick listen. It‘s your typical “pretend to be my girlfriend for this thing, then we‘ll fall in love” story. Perfect for right before Valentine‘s Day...if you‘re in to that short of thing. ❤️💘💝
Thanks @EadieB for the tag!
1. Yes! I was about 4-5. My mom was a hair dresser and had left her stuff of the kitchen table. I was home alone with dad, who was napping on the couch. So I cut my hair, the dog‘s hair, and a stuffed dog‘s hair (Max from The Little Mermaid). I looked like a pineapple 🍍
2. A break in the storm and some much needed sunshine this weekend ☀️

Wanna play along @Daisey @MabelTheBookNut
1. None come to mind right away, but I‘m not very good at coming up with songs 🤷♀️
2. Bookmarks and totes 👜 Give me alllll of the totes!
3. I don‘t really have a preference, I just want a character I can connect with.

Starting number 6 for the month of January. At this rate I should reach my goal of 40 for the year in no time!
Trying to squeeze in two more before the end of the year!
1. In a Holidaze is the first holiday book so far this season, so it‘ll have to be that one.
2. Usually just working...

My favorite time of the year! Christmas books by the Christmas tree! 🎄
1. Nothing but relaxing with my family, and reading! 📚📖
2. Kristin Hannah, Jodi Picoult, and most books about/during WWII.
3. Tagged book, The Spider and the Fly, and An Anonymous Girl. Tagged book was my fav of the three.
#wonderouswednesday @Eggs
Second book in two days, and one of my favorite authors! Not sure how much I‘ll actually get to read since we‘re also doing school work, hence the other books.
I‘ve been waiting to start this one, but had to force myself to finish The Goldfinch first. Man that was a tough one to get through, anyone else think so?
1. Greenlights 🚦
2. The Goldfinch 🦜🧑🏼🎨
3. The Four Winds by Kristin Hannah 🌾

Just finished listening to this, and was pleasantly surprised. We love Lake Tahoe, so it was neat to hear the references. The narrators were easy to listen to, and the story held my attention and kept me wanting more.
Finally getting to this months bookclub pick. I‘ve heard so many good things about this one, I can‘t wait!!
@4thhouseontheleft This is Sophie, and she hopes your sweet Maya is feeling better! Sending lots of positive thoughts! 💕
1. 🍔🍔🍔
2. Fireworks, though having small kids makes sparklers more fun 🎇🎆
3. Lounging in the pool with a cold adult beverage 🍹🧉

Listening while I work. Anyone else love the covers from this series?
This months bookclub pick has been on my TBR list for a while. And, I think, might finally pull me away from homesteading/farming books.
I‘ve gone down a rabbit hole... 😬🐥🐓🥚
1. Currently 52. Partly cloudy, with a high of 62. ⛅️
2. Tulips 🌷
3. The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah

“Food, a French man told me once, is the first wealth. Grow it right, and you feel insanely rich, no matter what you own.”
Reading something a little different than what I‘d normally pick. But it is something that is so dear to my heart, as we have more than doubled the size of our garden this year.
I never get more than one book from the library at a time. I was feeling adventurous last week and got these two, and good thing I did because they decided yesterday to close until further notice. 😭
I finished Dear Edward last night, and really enjoyed it. I spent my rainy weekend, unable to put it down.
I really enjoyed this book. The story jumps between Marisol‘s life in 2017 and her Grandmother Elisa‘s life in 1959. There was mystery, romance and a little suspense throughout.
I started this one on my lunch break today. There was a lot of parts that relate to my current situation, but really spoke to me.
I finished this one a couple days ago, and have been putting off writing about it because I‘m not ready for it to be over. I thought it was so well written, and I really enjoyed how each of the characters stories evolved. It definitely lived up to the hype, and was just what I needed after a couple of pretty dark reads.
My favorite...snuggled on the couch with my little fluff butt and a good book! 💕

Someone caught pink eye at daycare, so we‘re watching Dora and reading 😷
Help! I need book suggestions for my 8 year old boy. This is his current read. He‘s read all the Dog Man books, Diary of a Wimpy Kid and Captain Underpants. He said that books with lots of small words on the page (and no pictures) overwhelm him. What books do you kiddos love?
1. Flew by 🏃🏽♀️
2. When We Believed in Mermaids. But I‘m also really enjoying The Giver of the Stars.
3. I haven‘t really thought that far ahead. By bookclub is reading Next Year in Havana, so I guess that.
#friyay @howjessreads @4thhouseontheleft
1. The Dressmaker‘s Gift and The Giver of Stars
2. My husband and kiddos 💕
3. The beach 🏖
@MoonWitch94 #ThoughtfulThursday
1. Probably Nicholas Sparks or Kristin Hannah
2. Only one for me. 3 if I include my kids.
3. Random

Just finished listening to this audiobook. It was...a lot. There were several times I thought about turning it off and being done with it, because it was hard to listen to. But the other part of me wanted to see what was going to happen to Shelly. If you‘re into true crime stuff, this is definitely one for you.
My hold finally came in! And Big Brother got a book too!
I really enjoyed parts of this book, and others just seems to drag on. There was definitely a lot going on throughout. I loved the beach settings, especially the parts set in New Zealand.
1. When We Believed In Mermaids
2. Everything I Never Told You
3. 35+ books. Less spending on books, and more from the library

After enjoying Verity so much, I figured I should read the other Colleen Hoover book everyone is talking about. I started it yesterday and just finished it, so I guess you could say it didn‘t disappoint. Now onto the next...
First read of the new year! I enjoyed this one, but also grieved for each of the characters individually. They all kept so much inside, I just wanted to grab them and yell at them to open up to their loved ones!
1. Having my babies 👦🏼👦🏼 (and my wedding 💍)
2. Read 35+ books, spend less on books and use the library more 📚
3. All of the appetizers and snacks! 🍤🌮

As always...I‘m late to the game. I started this one yesterday and haven‘t been able to put it down, I can‘t wait to see where it goes.
Listening to this while we decorate the Christmas tree. It‘s not gonna put you in the Christmas spirit, but‘s definitely interesting!
I‘ve been MIA for a bit, because...life. I‘ve been reading, just not posting. Here‘s three reads from the last few weeks that I finished and never shared. All very enjoyable, for very different reasons. Now I need to find a good Christmas/holiday read. Any suggestions?
One of two new books that managed to find their way into my cart at Target today. Can‘t wait to start this one!
I finished this one last weekend, and have been putting off posting about it so I could really think about it. I so enjoyed this book, even though I had no idea which direction it was gonna go. Definitely a book I will be recommending to friends!
I love the cover of this book, it‘s so simple and pretty. I also really enjoyed the book, and had a hard time putting it down. Each chapter was a different characters perspective, which really sucked me in because I wanted to know more. My only complaint is that it ended a little abruptly.
When I just want a quick, lighthearted read...Debbie Macomber is my go to. I love a good romance series, that I can pickup, put-down, read things in between and still remember the important characters.
It was a busy busy week, full of work, travel and travel for work. We spent a week in Utah camping, whitewater rafting, SUPing, and hiking! It was absolutely wonderful, even though I didn‘t hit all of my weekly goals. It was a great reset before our wedding in two weeks. I also didn‘t get much reading done, but I did start the tagged book while at the airport yesterday and haven‘t been able to put it down. #BFCr3
