panI don‘t like panning a Katie Fforde book. She lives barely 20 miles from my home, she‘s on my radio regularly, she‘s lovely, a Cotswold treasure. But this, her first novel, published in 1995, has so many faults. The sex scenes are dreadful, and the relationship between the two main characters - the romantic leads - is incredibly dysfunctional. I think Fforde was trying to go for a Lizzie/Darcy vibe but failed.
Browsing new releases and trying hard not to click on “buy”...but I might be hitting the library soon! 🤣

3. A bittersweet moment, we picked up our cat, Millie‘s ashes. The box they‘ve been put into is so beautiful. What I thought would be really hard was made so much better by the obvious care of those involved in the process.

Literally just picked up the tagged book to start reading, all I‘ve read is the author‘s bio on the very first page and i just have a feeling I‘m going to like this one 😂
